Application of lubricating oil additives

Lubricating oil additive refers to the mixture of several single agents that are mixed according to a certain proportion and blending technology and can meet the requirements of a certain quality grade.

Before the 1980s, the additive raw materials of blended lubricating oil in China were basically single agent, that is, according to the quality requirements of the blended oil, select a certain base oil and add some additive single agents that can improve the characteristics of a certain oil. Due to the low quality of lubricating oil and the simple requirements for oil performance evaluation, the blending technology of single agent raw materials is widely used. However, in recent ten years, the number of imported cars and cars produced with imported technology has increased significantly, and the quality requirements for internal combustion engine oil are becoming higher and higher. Using single agent raw material technology to mix oil products is not only troublesome in process, but also difficult in formula evaluation. It is difficult for most lubricating oil blending plants to do so. Therefore, some manufacturers produce composite additives on the basis of bench evaluation. This composite agent has many functions required by the product oil. As long as an appropriate dose is added to the base oil with specified properties, it can produce oil of a certain quality level. The production process of blending lubricating oil with compound agent as raw material is simple, easy to operate, short production cycle and good economy.
